About the project:

The Norwest Pedestrian Link connected the New Sydney Metro Norwest Station with the Norwest shopping precinct via a tunnel under Norwest Boulevard.

Project snapshot:

• This project came with the complex task of de-stressing some previously installed cable anchors.
• With our innovative approach and years of experience, we developed a small timber heading hand driven tunnel to reach the position of the cable anchors.

Completed work:

• Designed and constructed escalator ramp, shaft excavation with shotcrete support.
• Tunnel consisting of 38m long canopy tubes, tunnel excavation and a waterproof layer followed by a permanent shotcrete lining.
