About the project:

Tunnelling Solutions worked with John Holland to complete a 1.2 diameter, 360 mm pipe jack at Level Crossing Removal Works on Glenroy Road in Melbourne.

Project snapshot:

• We supplied all equipment and labour, using an AVN1200 slurry machine provided by the client.
• The geology was challenging with almost the entire drive in soft clay and low cover (600m) at the receival shaft and adjacent live rail.
• The conditions had the potential to delay program and increase costs.
