Brian Mahon is an experienced civil engineering executive with more than three decades of leadership across major infrastructure, tunnelling, water, and transport sectors. Educated in civil engineering with a focus on geology and structures at the National University of Ireland, Galway, he has built a career delivering and overseeing complex capital works programs and guiding high-performance teams in the construction industry.
Brian previously served as Chief Operations Officer at Ward Civil from 2014 to 2024, where he led pre-contracts, project delivery, commercial management, HR/IR, and stakeholder engagement, and played a key role in securing major accreditations and repositioning the business as a trusted principal contractor. Before this, he held senior roles with Hutchison Ports Australia and the Water Infrastructure Group, following earlier major project delivery experience with McConnell Dowell and the Murphy Group in the UK.
In February 2025, Brian joined Tunnelling Solutions (TunSol) and swiftly jumped into the role off COO in June 2025 and was then appointed the Interim CEO in November 2025. He now leads the organisation through a period of commercial strengthening, governance improvement, and strategic positioning for national expansion in the tunnelling and major infrastructure market.
Kobi is a dynamic leader with 16 years of experience specialising in infrastructure, railway and underground construction works including drill and control blasting. Dedicated and timeline-driven, he has successfully completed numerous multi-million-dollar construction projects. He is an excellent team player who is well versed in engineering, across technical, on-site practices and contractual practices, with a philosophy of continuous improvement without sacrificing safety, quality, cost and time.
Matt is a highly skilled superintendent with extensive experience in tunnelling projects, including the operation of Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs), micro tunnelling, roadheader excavation, shotcrete application, and auger boring. His involvement in major infrastructure projects across the UK and Australia underscores his adeptness in this field.
With a robust commitment to fostering a positive safety culture on-site, Matt diligently adheres to established procedures and maintains clear and effective communication with his team. His hands-on experience, gained from starting his career as a tunnel labourer and progressing to TBM operation, provides him with valuable insights and problem-solving abilities to address various challenges that may arise during projects.
Matt’s passion for tunnelling is deeply rooted in his family’s legacy, spanning three generations, further fuelling his dedication and expertise in the industry.
Chris possesses extensive mechanical knowledge of micro tunneling equipment, ensuring that our projects benefit from his expertise in selecting the appropriate Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM). His proficiency in both mechanical and electrical systems significantly reduces the likelihood of breakdowns, thereby enhancing operational efficiency.
Chris’s foresight and planning skills are critical to the success of our projects, enabling us to anticipate and mitigate potential challenges. His hands-on experience early in his career equips him with valuable insights into possible issues that may arise during the construction phase, allowing for proactive problem-solving.
Additionally, Chris has a strong background in live sewer connections, which requires meticulous planning to guarantee the safe and successful transition of assets. His comprehensive understanding of these processes is instrumental in maintaining project timelines and ensuring overall safety and effectiveness.
Adam is a highly motivated and driven, safety and quality expert with a diverse working career including experience in local government, civil construction,
precast and tunnelling sectors.
He demonstrates flexible leadership skills, a practical and solution focused approach, strong operational and strategic knowledge, and a passion for staff engagement and success.
Adam has a track record of delivering safety initiatives, harm minimisation strategies and proactive lead indicators to significantly reduce injury frequency rates.
Meng is a seasoned finance leader with over 20 years of experience across key financial domains. She excels in financial control, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and is highly skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support strategic decision-making.
With expertise in project management, business process optimization, and system improvements, Meng enhances operational efficiency and drives transformation initiatives to boost performance.
