With their combined experience and foresight, both Harry and Craig have seen the need for prior learning, training and accreditation for tunnelling specific employees.

Following Tunnelling Solutions presentation to the Australian Tunnelling Society on the resourcing challenges facing the tunnelling industry in Australia late last year, (read presentation brief at http://www.ats.org.au/index.php/ats-news/icalrepeat.detail/2014/10/29/-tunnellers-where-do-they-come-from-annual-general-meeting), they have been developing a training program to equip workers with specialist skills and knowledge required for the tunnelling industry.

This training schematic is now complete, with course modules covering Tunnelling Fundamentals and also including optional Tunnelling Master Classes for relevant resources.

Work has now commenced with Industry Bodies such as the Australian Tunnelling Society, as well as key industry leaders, with the aim to ensure this tailored tunnelling training approach receives Industry support and recognition.
